Beginners' Guide
Our small but mighty community is very dedicated, knowledgeable, and ready to help new adventurers as they set off for the first time in Alyria. A big thank you to the following seasoned players that provided some key advice for your journey, which you can read below!

- The most important thing is to play what you'll enjoy the most.
- Warrior and rogue classes tend to have less complexity than spellcasters so they naturally make great choices for your first and second class.
- Offer them suggestions on what classpaths coincide with that type of playstyle.
- You can change your classes and race once you get to the endgame so it's probably not worth stressing over it too much at first.
- You may have questions for eternity, and that’s okay. There is so much to learn that even veteran/returning players are catching up on. The more you try to rush to “end game”, the more underprepared and disappointed in yourself you will feel.
- Pick a beginner friendly race, don't overthink it, and try to find another friend to create a character with you.
- Player-made websites like annwn.info and ooc.dune.net have guides for all kinds of in-game content including marks, bosses, area maps, item locations, and more.
- FLEE before you die!
- Players are friendly and happy to help - so don't be afraid to ask!
- Don't spend money on your first character until you're sure your plan to stick with it.
- Explore Rune Forest! The entire area was revamped to equip players with a themed set that gave beneficial spell-up buffs.
- Keep a quest item warp on you like the Rune garnet to portal back in a bad spot like not finding a way out.
