battle rage is too powerful and here's proof...
<487hp 1464sp 1321st>
Gotti fails to hit you with his first attack.
Gotti's face contorts with rage as he lashes out at you.
You are cut on the wing by Gotti's slash causing mild damage.
You are cut on the torso by Gotti's slash causing middling damage.
You are cut on the torso by Gotti's slash causing enormous damage.
Gotti has some very significant wounds and scratches.
<89hp 1464sp 1321st>
a level 120 did this to a level 171...that is way too powerful when a level 120 can kill a 171 solo because of only
battle rage |

he kills you, so thats proof that battle rage needs to be changed? maybe he had a locker full of manuals when he came
out of lasler from an alt. or maybe he has more skill than you? or maybe he has a ton of donation items?
or at least those are the answers i get when i complain here lol |

3 hits for 400 hp is a bit much.
out of curiosity, what was your ar? I can do 400 raw damage easy, but after ar and such I don't think it's anywhere near
that. |

no, it isnt that he killed me, its that he did so much damage in one round when even i dont do that much damage in one
round without battle rage unless i'm using a lance. he's using an axe which does nearly the same damage as a lance at
his level getting battle rage which does triple damage and can by itself turn the tide of battle towards himself. i
think this has been posted about before and it was weakened, but it just unbalances the entire fighter class section.
barbarians get battle rage and higher strength so they can have even more damage per hit. even though cavs get lance
and vitality bonus, they still stop at their racial hp max no matter how high their vitality is. |

the tweak obviously didn't work
it was supposed to have fixed it so BR affected only 1 attack, obviously it still affects the whole round. Needs to be
looked at again I think.
60ar, and still does 400 damage with a second class axe...lol thats just insane. |

i was at the meeting when br was talked about. i dont remember them saying anything about it being put into one attack a
round, but rather they would spread it over the eniter round, and it would be weakened.
at level 97 now with an ogre 25 strength, and axe at 89% im doing 132 damage against 0 ar. now put that with 4 attacks,
and im doing over 500 dam, vs 0 ar. i dont know what ur armor was at, maybe you posted i dont know, but to me that
sounded pretty consistant. especially considering by the time im level 120 i should be doing about 180 damage with the
next axe. maybe more
and so far i havent noticed br doing abit of damn good for me. i usually get lines like, the guy is cut on the arm with
your slash causing minimal damage, then the next round without br it says i cause enormous damage |

Battle rage has been talked to death. Every thread I've seen about it is just someone complaining after they lose a
fight, or something along those lines. If you think Vassago will change something just because enough people complain,
you're wrong. If you're right, I think we should start a mass campaign about enervation, herbalism, music, mental
disruption, silence, ... |

oh yeah , and thats not taking into account ehanced damage either. i dont know how you would work that into the equation
for me to give a good example of my damage done per round |

I think the tweak you are talkin about there, Ap, is more along the line of wishful thinking from people who dont get
this skill
It does actually make sense that BR would last a whole round of combat as opposed to just one attack, someone's BR would
be unlikely to fizzle mid-swing .
Contextually it could be argued BR should have a chance of lowering acc, with a valid chance of raising the number of
attacks possible due to the mindset involved. I dont want to see this skill tweaked again, and it is not one available
to me.
Other people have stated that calming during combat is one possible defense against BR. Also because it kicks in less at
higher sanity, there is always going to be a tradeoff for barbs who wanna use this skill, up to them if they want
greater chance of BR or better spell skills.
Without adding a maths lesson, (damage - ar)@ 3 attacks, triple damage... me wants BR!

the fact that the third classer couldn't kill the second classer in less than 15 rounds is a bit sad too...

Both, technically. I never claimed to know how to spell.
