ExtemperPlease do not register on this thread. This is to give some details for everyone on how this will work.

This thursday is when we will start judging. We will go town by town looking at houses.
It will start at 4pm central time and end around 9pm.
The process will start again the next day and continue until all houses are judged.
I will announce which town will be judged what day.
You can STILL register as long as we are still judging.

Categories: Due to the lack of larger houses entering I am reconfiguring the categories.
Category A: 1 room homes.
Category B: 2-5 room homes.
Category C: 6 and above room homes.
If there is a major registration drive for larger houses Category C will be further broken down.
Each category will have one winner and there will also be an overall winner of the contest.

Judges: There will be one immortal, one mortal and myself judging each house. There should be no security issue.

Judging Template: We are going to be judging on three things.
Creativity, Encompassing of the character, and the overall design. Each will be given a point total of 1-10 with 3 judges taking score.

Prizes: CONFIRMED prizes now include; One room vouchers, blank deed voucher, galleon ship voucher, gold, and vandy orbs. More to come later.
If you would like to donate for this competition please contact me asap.

There are 60 participants so far and the largest category being category A. If you wish to register there is another thread with information on what to do.

Any questions or comments please direct them here.

ExtemperThe first early round of judging was a blast. The competition is very fierce and we will have a tough time.

Basically when we judged all the houses and tallied it all up we can then announce a winner Smile

ExtemperI am going to repeat this announcement.

It has become very clear that contestants are needed in their homes in order for this to work. If you have a small home just be there for a second or two. If you have a large home, for your own benefit, please show us around.

I will do my best to track down the pass door/bashable houses, but it is VERY hard.

ExtemperWe are officially down to 21 houses. The bulk are mid size houses so it would be nice to be escorted.
I am pushing very hard for all judging to finish today, but this will only work if you guys help me.

If you have a door that can't be opened and you will not be able to be on tonight please talk to me. I am collecting info for houses and borrowing keys. If you do not wish to do lend out your key make other arrangements.
If, powers forbid, judging is not finished by wednesday all houses not judged will be dqed and we will announce winners.

The following people have not been judged (if you know them contact them asap):
Ascidiella, Boveii, Chamone, Dessarin, Drysten, Geobog, Gorbantis, Gussy, Iolous, Kanstryner, Kat, Kermit, Mitsumi, Molo, Moordal, Ramoth, Safeguard, Shadowedge, Salanth, Starryangel, Syll, Zephyr.
I have only spoke to Chamone, Dessarin, Gussy, and Ramoth.
Again if you know these people tell them to contact me asap.

If anyone knows shadowedge in any way contact me as well for he has yet to give his info.

BiranExcellent! The competition seems to be a great sucess. I would like to personally thank extemper for comming up with this idea. It was original and alot of fun. Hope to see winners list by tuesday? Good luck all of you.

Also. Yeah donating to this would benefit everyone I think. More prizes that are available might mean more prize categories such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... At least 1st and 2nd in each category would be awesome.

ExtemperThe judging portion of this contest is now complete!
I speak for all the judges when I say every single house was amazing. You made us laugh go oo ah and the occasional holy ****.
We repeated at least twenty times how it sucks that we have to pick a winner. We are just going to add up the scores and let whatever fall into to place. Just know that if we could we would have a category for each of you: best mad scientist lab, best family home, best spaceship, best use of flying monkeys etc.

It will take a day or so for us to finish tabulating the scores, breaking ties and other evil paper work.

If you haven't read how we score this is how it worked. In all we had 5 judges. The panel consisted of 3 judges with myself a guide and an immortal. I was the only constant judge. Nymyria and Satina for the immortals and Raerd and Mikee for the guides.
There were 3 categories for judging criteria. Creativity, encompassing of character, and overall design. Each of these had a 10 point value. So the highest score possible is a 90.
There were no dq's and no security problems.
When we started judging on thursday we had 47 homes. We now have looked at 100 homes.
A break down of the participants:
Category A: By far the largest 58 entries.
Category B: 25 entries.
Category C: This one grew very nicely with 17 entries.

There are many people to thank for judging, donating, and support. I don't wanna spam this post but I must name Satina, Mikee, and Nymyria. They did everything. Without them this contest would have gone nowhere. Even as we speak they are sorting through all the parchments, spreadsheets and emails. Please thank them for all their work.

There is much more to say and do, but I will save that for later. I do not know who is winning and I won't tell you your score. Just have to wait.

Congratulations to all.
