SNARE
Technical

Complexity Rating: 25%   (Moderately Easy)
Classes Allowed: Rogue, Ranger

NAME
snare - attempts to create a snare trap in your current location

SYNOPSIS
  snare

DESCRIPTION
This proficiency (and command) allows the player to place a snare
trap in his current location. When another entity enters the room,
there is a chance they will become entagled in the snare, unable
to leave the spot for up to several minutes.

In order to place a snare trap, you will need a snare trap kit.
These trap kits are available from various Rogue outfitter shops
located in many townes across Alyria, such as Dark's Emporium
in Rune. Various snare trap kits exist that can do more than the
standard snare, and oftentimes the kits contain enough materials
to allow the setting of the specified snare more than once.

A listing of commonly-available trap kits follows:

rope-snare   - lays a rope trap that has the effect of "web"
           on an unwary victim

  poison-needle - causes a poison-tipped barb to penetrate the
victim's flesh when the snare is triggered

motion-bomb   - sets off an explosion when triggered, harming
the person who tripped the snare

tranquilizer- - causes a barb coated with a special sleeping
needle   potion to penetrate the victim's flesh

warning-bell  - causes a bell to ring that can be heard from
up to two rooms away in all directions

Snare traps are harder to avoid, the higher the level of the person
  who set the trap.

The effects of snares currently activate at the level of the person who triggered the snare, not at the level of the person who set it.
