DESCRIPTION
  Sneaking is a skill employed by Rogues to gain access to places
  where they might otherwise be banned. It involves a combination of
  moving quietly, usage of shadows to hide one's presence, and
  camouflage to remain unseen.

Simply put, this proficiency will allow you to enter or exit a place unannounced: i.e. the 'Rigo has arrived from the north' message will not appear to other players in the room.
