  magical fade

DESCRIPTION
  This is a skill possessed by denizens of the faerie
  plane, and it is based upon their extra planar origin.
  When an opponent attacks them, a faerie may be able to
  fade into the ethereal world for an instant in order to
  avoid the attack, then instantly fade back into our
  dimension for a riposte.
