NAME
  dodge - move out of the way of an attack

DESCRIPTION
  In the words of one wise warrior, 'the best way to block a
  blow is to not be where it lands'. The dodge proficiency honors this
  tradition, by improving the character's natural agility to the point
  where many blows will miss the target. The chance of dodging is also
  affected by the agility of the attacker - his or her ability to
  anticipate the move and counter it.

A most versatile defense, you will be able to dodge blows from horseback as well as standing. As well, your opponent does not need to be wielding a weapon for you to be able to dodge their nasty blow.
