shield block
DESCRIPTION
This skill allows a warrior to use their shield to
greater effect than would normally be expected. Instead
of merely making them harder to hit, a properly-trained
combatant can use a shield to block incoming attacks
outright. However, this will cause the shield to be
damaged over time, and may allow opponents with axes to
break through the shield.
Shield block, when practiced well, may also be used to
block offensive projectile spells, such as fireball and
lightning bolt.

You must be wearing a shield.
A useful defense if your opponent is wielding a weapon.
You can also block certain spells, such as lightning and fireballs.
