Classes Allowed: Ranger, Shaman
Spell Point Requirements: This spell will take at least 100 sp and at most 100 sp to cast.


NAME
  find familiar - summons a creature to serve the caster

SYNOPSIS
  cast 'find familiar'

DESCRIPTION
  This spell sends a magical call through the ether, and attempts to
  attract a suitable companion. The creature that the spell attracts
  will stay and serve the caster for a specific duration of time,
  based on the caster's level. The spell cannot be cast indoors, and
  some locations are too remote for the caster to successfully
  contact anything.

  If the familiar is stuck or stops following its master for some
  reason, casting the spell again will transport the familiar to the
  caster's current location.

REQUIREMENTS
  1 air reagent, 4 earth reagents, 1 fire reagent, 1 water reagent,
  1 magical gem, 1 ethereal reagent

Reagent cost is high and familiars, although helpful, don't last long and can't move very far. Most players prefer quest items such as the iron toy soldier to fill this need.
