NAME
hide - hide in the shadows so that you cannot be detected, or hide an
item at your current location

SYNOPSIS
hide
hide <item name>

DESCRIPTION
Hide and sneak are similar skills, both related to remaining undetected.
Hide has a very high chance of success, but only works for as long as the
character remains stationary. Hiding will also not be as effective if the
person hiding is affected by the sanctuary spell, as it causes them to
glow with a fairly visible light.

A character may also attempt to hide certain items. These may be
uncovered by use of the SEARCH command.

REQUIREMENTS
* You must be a Rogue, Ranger, Psionic, Monk, Bard or Witch in order to
make use of this skill.
* This skill is available racially to Elves and Halflings.
* In order to practice this skill you must have achieved at least 30%
Technical Complexity Comprehension.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* This skill may be mastered through study alone.

Many commands will cause you to stop hiding. Some will not. Experimentation is probably your best bet.
