DESCRIPTION
The WHO command is used to display a list of players that are
currently active and online, and may be used once every thirty
real-life seconds.
USING THE WHO COMMAND
Typing WHO without an argument will give you a list of all visible
players in the game.
Typing WHO <search string>, where <search string> is a player name
or partial player name, searches all the visible players online and
displays those matching the string or wildcard string.
Strings can include the following wildcards:
* Matches everything (e.g., *fred*, or fred* or *fred)
? Matches a single character (e.g., fr?d)
Typing WHO <player name or partial name> does a search on the
visible players and only displays those matching the name or
partial name.
Typing WHO <race> shows all players online matching that race.
Typing WHO <class> shows all players online matching that class.
Typing WHO <minimum level> <maximum level> returns the players
that are online and match the level range specified.
Typing WHO <place> returns all players within a specified kind of
place. The kinds of places available are those normally visible
on the WHO list before the player name. For example: WHO TOWER
will show only players who are in a tower, WHO NOWHERE will show
only players who are in an area that is not marked on the WHO list.
Typing WHO 'immortal', WHO 'hero', or WHO 'archon', etc. displays a
list of the specific Immortals, Archons, Heroes, or what other
group of player matching that specific condition that are online.
You may sort the output of the WHO list by adding one of the
following directives to your WHO argument (this can be done in
addition to the other WHO filters):
sortbyname
sortbylevel
sortbyclan
sortbyrace
"sortreverse" can be added to the end of the WHO argument to
reverse the sort.
WHAT THE INFORMATION MEANS
When the WHO list is displayed, you will see something similar to
the following (except most likely, a much longer list):
MATERIA MAGICA: Current Players Online
.---------------------------------------------------------------.
[152:241 M Legend Keep ] Klaus [+):SanguinE:(+]
[120:241 M Archon Wilds ] Sinbad [_|Hope|/_][<Combat>]
[31 :91 M H-Elf Barba Towne ] Skillman [<EyeS>][<Deceased>]
[60 :120 F Ogre Valky Dungn ] Revolution [_|Hope|/_]
[56 :176 F Sidhe Pries Social] Aryne [ChaoS]
[102:241 F Archon Home ] Nemori [(-NortH+)][GUIDE]
[155:241 M Archon ] Gunner [{+DIGM+}][Q][A]
The first two numbers are the level(s) of the character. The
first level is the current (class) level and the second is the
total level.
"M" or "F" indicate Male or Female (occasionally "N" can show up,
which means "Neuter" - this is usually caused by magic).
Next is the Class indicator for the character. You will either see
an abbreviation for their current class, along with their race, or
a special keyword. Special keywords may be "Immortal", "Archon", "Hero",
or "Legend".
The type of area in which the player currently resides is then
displayed. This can consist of the following keywords:

The character name then appears, followed by a special title
indicating the clan affiliation (if one has been set by the clan),
otherwise "Clan <#>" showing the Clan # is shown.
Status flags are then shown:
[A] - The character is marked as AWAY.
