NAME
remove curse - reverses the effect of a curse

SYNOPSIS
cast 'remove curse' <target>
cast 'remove curse' <object>

DESCRIPTION
By appealing to the graciousness of one of the Powers, this spell
attempts to remove a curse that has been placed on an object or
character. There are some instances when a curse is more than the caster
can handle, and may thus require multiple attempts to be successful. If
another character is wearing or holding a cursed item, casting the spell
upon them will automatically reverse the affliction.

This spell will also remove the witch spells malignancy, jinx,
evil eye, hex, and malediction, since they are very similar in nature
to the actual 'curse' spell.

This spell is also used to remove the 'noremove' and 'nodrop' flags from items. However, 'remove curse' will not work on 'nouncurse' items.

It may take several successful castings to remove a powerful curse.

If you're having trouble dropping an item from your inventory, it is probably cursed with a 'nodrop' flag. One may purchase a 'remove curse' spell from most recall rooms' clerics or wizards, though they may cost upwards for 5000 gold per cast.
