NAME
recharge item - enhances an object that has been used

SYNOPSIS
cast 'recharge item' <object>

DESCRIPTION
This spell will replenish lost charges of a wand, orb, or staff. Each
time the spell is cast, one to two charges is added to the item, up to
the maximum number of charges. Objects that have already been completely
drained of magic cannot be restored in this manner. The spell should be
used with caution, since a mistake in the casting may cause the item
being recharged to violently explode.

Each time an item is recharged, the number of maximum charges the item
can have is reduced by one.

Proficiency in the 'magical items' skill can enhance the effectiveness of
this spell.
