DESCRIPTION
Once a player reaches level 60 in his or her current class, the
option to change classes is available. Classes are changed by
providing special gemstones - black tourmalines - to a local Lord
(such as Lord Agrippa). Black tourmalines may be found in several
locations, such as the Tower of Riga on Verity Isle, or the
Proving Grounds on Wizardry Isle.
The classes that may be chosen are limited by race, sex, and the
classes that you have been in the past.
Classes are divided into four groups, as follows. You may only multiclass
once from each group, to reach a maximum total level of 240. You may not
multiclass until you have reached level 60 in your current class.
FIGHTER MAGE CLERIC THIEF
Barbarian Wizard Priest Rogue
Cavalier* Monk Druid Bard
Valkyrie** Ranger Shaman Knave
Paladin Psionic Witch
* Male Only, ** Female Only
After a player has reached total level 240 they may elect to become an
Archon. The Archon will be able to learn spells, skills and fighting
styles that are not available to the other classes.
Number of Tourmalines needed for each Multiclass:
1st Multiclass : 250 Tourmalines
2nd Multiclass : 1250 Tourmalines
3rd Multiclass : 3000 Tourmalines
A list of classes that it is possible to become may be viewed using
the CLASS NEWCLASS option. To actually change into that class, use
CLASS NEWCLASS <class name>.
CLASS DEPOSIT will drop off any gemstones you have in your inventory
into your multiclassing account.
To view the current amount of gemstones in your class account, type
CLASS INFO.
Gemstones may be transferred from account to account by using
the CLASS TRANSFER command. You, as well as the character to which
you are transferring gemstones, must have 61 total levels or greater.
CLASS RECLASS <current class> <new class> will allow you to swap out
classes of the same class archetype (e.g., Barbarian to Paladin,
or Wizard to Ranger) to a new class. You must have a Class Remort
token in your inventory to do this. You may get a Class Remort token
at any Reward Unit Shoppe.
When you substitute classes, you will lose all unique spells and
proficiencies for that class, but will gain 250 practices with which
to learn any new skills.
* You must be at least level 240 to use CLASS RECLASS.
* You will be refunded 50% of the average practices for practiced
skills and trained attributes lost when this command is used
CLASS RESEX <'male' or 'female'> will allow you to change your
sex from male to female, or vice versa. You must have a Sex Remort
token in your inventory to do this. You may get a Sex Remort token
at any Reward Unit Shoppe.
When you change sexes, if you have a class in your past that is
sex-dependent (Cavalier or Valkyrie), you must also have a Class
Remort voucher as well, as you will be changing that class to
match your new sex. Valkyrie is changed to Cavalier, and vice
versa.
* You must be at least level 240 to use CLASS RESEX.
* You will be refunded 50% of the average practices for practiced
skills and trained attributes lost when this command is used
CLASS RESPEC will allow you to change your character's race and
up to four classes at once by leading you through a series of
questions. You have the option to decline to proceed, and/or you
may be forced to stop if you don't have the proper amount of
tokens available in your inventory for what you are trying to do.
* You must be at least level 240 to use CLASS RESPEC.
* Hardcore characters cannot CLASS RESPEC.
* You may CLASS RESPEC only once every seven (7) days.
* You will be refunded 50% of the average practices for practiced
skills and trained attributes lost when this command is used

Although you'll still have all your old skills and spells after a multiclass, you won't be able to use some of them right away. Basic abilities get reset to 5% at class level 1, so your combat ability, technical ability, spell complexity comprehension, etc. will go back to 5%. You'll have to work your way back to the more advanced stuff. Once it comes back it'll be restored at your old proficiency.
Suppose you worked bash up to 82% in first class. You'll have to regain some class levels to use it again at all, but the 82% will still be there when you regain it.
