mccp - mud client compression protocol

DESCRIPTION
Many MUD clients support a method of data compression from the game
server to the client, known as Mud Client Compression Protocol (or
MCCP for short). Materia Magica supports MCCP version 2, which is
the version of the protocol in wide use.

If your client supports this, turn it on, as it will usually speed
up your connection (since the server is sending less data to you).

If it is turned on in your client, you will get a message from the
server that says MCCP 2 ENABLED. If you do not see this message,
you may need to disconnect from the server and reconnect again.
