EXPERIENCE
NAME
experience - information on how to gain levels of experience
levels - command that lists how many experience points your
character needs in order to advance through the levels
in his class.
DESCRIPTION
Your character advances in power and levels by gaining experience
points (exp). Experience points are a way of keeping track of how much
your character has learned over the course of his or her lifetime.
You can gain experience by:
* Killing a creature.
* Being part of a formation that kills a creature.
* Killing a player in a chaotic playerkilling room.
* Completing quests for local Lords and Ladies (such as Lord Agrippa)
* Completing quests found throughout the land in various locations
* Finding certain Marks
The maximum experience you can receive per kill is limited based on your
level. When in a formation, you will have to split the experience with
your formation members as well, and this is further modified by the
difference in levels between the formation members.
Typing 'LEVELS' will display a list of the levels in your current
class, and how many experience points are required for each level.
LEVELLING
When levelling, the following occurs:
hp gained = (4 * vitality) / 13
sp gained = (4 * knowledge) / 12
st gained = (4 * vitality) / 11
pracs gained = (4 * wisdom) / 5
If you are a fighter, hp gained is multiplied by 2, sp by .8, and st by 1.5.
If you are a mage, sp gained is multiplied by 2, and practices increased by
2-3; first class mages get an additional 1 practice.
If you are a cleric, sp gained is multiplied by 1.5, and practices increased
by 1-2; first class clerics get an additional 1-2 practices.
If you are a thief, hp gained is multiplied by 1.5.
Each hp/sp/st/pracs gained is reduced by 1 for every class, -/+1. The
minimum amount gained per level is 5 hp, 5 sp, 5 st and 4 pracs.
