divorce - information on player divorces

DESCRIPTION
Unfortunately people sometimes discover that they and their mate
simply aren't as compatible as they thought, and wish to terminate
their marriage.

A number of things have to happen before a divorce can be finalized.
You must first notify your spouse that you wish to terminate your
marriage.  Once that has been done, please send an email to
gameservices@materiamagica.com requesting this divorce and
informing if and how any community property should be divided.

When the Immortals have received notification of your request, I-MAIL
will be sent to both parties notifying you both that the request has been
made.  You MUST respond to this via imail or an email to Game Services
in order for the divorce to be processed immediately.  Once both spouses
have responded, property will be divided if applicable, and the marriage
will be nullified.

If one of the parties involved does not agree to the divorce or does not
respond to the notification, there is a 30 day waiting period before the
divorce will be granted.  This begins as soon as both spouses have been
told that the divorce has been requested.

There is a fee of 1 million gold pieces for a divorce.

Players must wait at least 30 days once their divorce has been granted
before handfasting again.

To remove unwanted wedding and handfasting torque bands, visit the
Jewelry Shoppe on Yew Court in Rune and LOOK at the jeweler for
further instructions.
