DESCRIPTION
Materia Magica is an Interactive Entertainment Network (IEN), (or,
more commonly, a MUD) and runs under a unique code base, in
development since January of 1996. This ongoing feat of programming
is what keeps the world of Alyria in existence, barring any unforseen
occurences in the world of reality. It's what keeps the wind moving,
the seasons changing, and enforces natural and supernatural laws.
Without it, there would be no Materia Magica.

Materia Magica's zones have been designed by many Immortals over the
years, many of whom are no longer with this game. All along, however,
Materia Magica has been owned, maintained, and programmed by Ingenii
Interactive, which seeks to create a fantasy universe in which people
of any race, religion, orientation, or gender may escape the pressures
of reality.
