Finely cured sheepskin is stretched tightly across both ends of a small,
hollow, wooden cylinder which is about a handsbreadth thick and three
handsbreadth across.  Each skin is held in place by a sturdy leather thong
and on the bottom piece of skin you notice ten tiny chains strung from side
to side.  The entire construction makes a small drum that can be comfortably
worn from the neck and shoulders.
