This crude magnifying glass has been constructed from a short reinforced-
wood pole -- not unlike a broken broom handle -- and a curved piece of
glass.  The lens is cloudy and has seen better days but serves its purpose
well; For sunlight still refracts though a cloudy lens, and concentrated
sunlight still inflicts a lot of damage on small creatures unlucky (or slow)
enough to be caught in its path.
