The gnomish are well known and feared for their tinkering and meddling and
straight-forward over-complication, and this umbrella is no exception.  It
could have been simple, in fact, it probably would have been better if it
had been simple.  The stout oaken handle is perfectly fine, shaped as a
rather suspicious looking gnome looking skyward.  At the top of the handle
is a small whirring generator, projecting a shimmering half-dome over the
carrier.  Rain?  Spare it not a thought, the glowing shield would probably
grant sufficient protection against a volcanic eruption.
