This small notebook is covered in some glittery material that casts rays of pink and purple and white when held at odd angles to the light. It is written in a neat, flourishing script, and punctuated with little smiley faces and perky pentagrams. Sept. 1 "Today I started acting classes! Wheee!!! I am soooo excited! I just know I will be a famous actress by next year. Daddy says it's kinda a lot of gold to spend for a frivolous thing, but I'm worth it." Sept. 3 "Teacher had us do the strangest stuff today, she's weird We had to like stand around saying "How do you do?" to each other as we walked around the stage, and like smile at each other. Then she made us say these goofy little nonsense rhymes till our tongues almost fell out, Ewww! I was like soooo tired by the end of the day I just wanted to go to sleep." Sept. 5 "We had fun today. There was like this play we had to learn, and all these lines we had to say. I was like the leading lady, and *blush* I got to kiss this reeely cute boy!! But I kept forgetting my line after we like kissed, and like, we had to do that over and over again until I finally got the right words out. I know I should study my homework for tomorrow, but I'm going out with this guy tonight instead." Sept. 6 "I was soo late for class this morning. Teacher said she was angry and would not tolerate any more lateness. Then we had to practice spinning in pirouettes and leaping across the stage, and I was like so not wanting to do any of that. Who does she think she is anyway? A man came into the studio today and Teacher had us all line up on stage. He was a play producer from a city far away, and was looking for actors and actresses for his new play. I've only been here a week now, and I may be getting a job already I can't wait till I'm rich and famous and can ride around in a coach pulled by white horses and have servants to take care of my mansion. I sooo want to be a star!!!" Sept. 7 "I got the part! I got a job already :) This is like so unbelievable!!! I am only 18 and I am already gonna be a STAR!!! So busy this morning packing all my bags and getting new clothes for the long trip across the ocean. I ran back home to say goodbye to Mom and Dad, and they were sad to see me go, but they gave me some gold to spend until I get my acting money, and they said "be careful" and silly stuff like "don't talk to strangers." I can't say I've ever heard of this place where I am going to work, but the nice man said that the Stormy Nights Playhouse was one of the most famous ones in the whole city of Tellerium. I know I'll miss my friends and all, but I will be so rich and famous, I'll make plenty more. So much stuff I want to take along, no room for this notebook. I'm just gonna leave it here at school then and get another later. Bye bye little book. I'll miss you too.
