"Scary Monsters of Alyria" is written in bold above a mountain scene where
a young green dragon is perched atop a rocky crag. You jump as the dragon
on the cover yawns, exposing razor sharp teeth, and a thin trail of smoke
rises from its nostrils.
Taking a deep breath, you leaf through the pages, each one displaying a
scarily realistic creature in full color on the left, and an identical
outline drawing on the right, just begging to be colored in with crayon.
One of the pages has already been colored in - a fearsome troll with a
spiked club. You pause to admire the child's work, when without warning,
the two trolls leap full-size out of the page and begin fighting each other
in front of you!
You quickly slam the book shut and they evaporate without a trace.
