The cover of this book is made of cedar, and not a crack runs through it. 
The pages, on the other hand, have either been burnt, wrinkled, or have been
damaged by water.  Each page appears to be written in a different
handwriting, and the language the words are written in changes frequently. 
Obviously, this work had multiple authors, and upon closer inspection, one
will notice that this book does not tell a story, but is rather a collection
of notes placed together shortly after the Wizard Riga's life ended.  Due to
the wizards spell preventing anyone from talking, most Alyrians were forced
to communicate to each other through gestures, drawing, and notes, and these
appear to be some of the notes from that time.  By reading these pages, one
can learn a lot about the lives of Alyrians that lived during the Age of
Silence.
