This dangerous scythe is constructed out of marble, the purest white
imaginable.  It is all one solid piece of stone, and although unpolished, is
quite clean and smooth, just like the animated chess pieces from which this
came.  Although scythes were originally propagated by farmers to harvest
wheat, the handles' angle and the length of the shaft is awkward to hold at
knee height.  It is much easier to move with the blade at waist or neck
height, driving home the point that this is an instrument designed to kill.
