Sliced from the elder dragon's skull, the liver of Maar seems even more
powerful than the decrepit body of the dragon itself.  Unbeknownst to most
mortals, dragons' internal organs are one of the hardiest organic things in
all of nature.  Required to last untold centuries, survive the occasional-
to-frequent gut stabbing by foolish knights, and process nearly anything the
dragon attempts to consume, which is nearly anything.  This liver in
particular is even more strained, due to its advanced age, the fact that it
is translucent, and that it is slowly solidifying due to having been plucked
out of its rightful spot.  Plus, it's on fire and impossible to extinguish.
