Events
From time to time, the Materia Magica administrators may announce special events such as gatherings, global quests, or contests. These will be added to the Event Calendar.
Global Quests
Global quests are special game-wide events that occur at various times during the year, usually timed to coincide around major real-world holidays. Details and times of specific quests are often released a week to a few days before the event.
Events usually occur around:
- Spring/Easter (Alyrian Fertility Rites)
- St. Patrick's Day (General Shenanigans)
- Summer Global (Midsummer Festival)
- Halloween (An Alyrian All Spirits' Eve)
- Thanksgiving (The Mad Turkey Escapes!)
- Christmas (Alyrian Yule)
Other Events
There is a bi-annual Materia Magica Halloween party held in Austin, Texas, attended by many players and well-wishers.
